Who is the controller

What we collect and why
From the form we receive your name, phone number and e-mail, together with details of your booking or event — date, number of guests, your choice of catering or equipment and anything you write in the note. We need them mainly to confirm your booking, prepare an offer and stay in touch about the date. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract and performing it (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We use your name and e-mail for one more thing, but only if you want us to — see Occasional offers by e-mail below.
When you submit the form we also briefly keep the IP address it came from — solely to stop bots and bulk submissions. That is our legitimate interest in protecting the form (Art. 6(1)(f)). The record is deleted after one hour.
Occasional offers by e-mail
Below the form there is an optional checkbox “I don’t mind an occasional e-mail with a tailored offer”. It is never pre-ticked and your booking or enquiry does not depend on it. If you tick it, we may occasionally send you an e-mail with an offer you might like — a free date, an event or a menu for a similar occasion. Expect a few messages a year at most, always from us only; we never pass your address on or load it into bulk-mailing advertising services. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
You can withdraw your consent at any time — just reply to any such e-mail or write to rezervace@barcobra.cz. Withdrawing does not affect your bookings; we simply stop sending offers. If you leave the box unticked, you will not receive any offers.
How long we keep it
For as long as it takes to handle your booking or enquiry and then 12 months from the date of the event, so that we have something to refer to if anything needs sorting out afterwards. After that the data is deleted. If you ticked the offers box, we keep only your name and e-mail for that purpose, until you withdraw consent and for no longer than 3 years from your last booking or enquiry. Data on accounting documents, if any arise, is kept for the period required by law.
Who else has access
We never sell or share your data for marketing. Technically it is accessible to our web-hosting and e-mail provider, who only stores and transmits it for us. We do not transfer it outside the European Union.
Your rights
At any time you can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict its processing, object to it, or receive it in a portable form. Just write to rezervace@barcobra.cz. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (uoou.cz).
Cookies
The form only remembers in your browser whether you prefer dark or light mode. Nothing is sent to the server and nothing tracks you.
